Marten Warren Quadland, III has always been known simply as Quad. At first Quad tried to convince everyone to call him Marten, but then he realized that Quad Quadland, son of Dr. Q., is exactly the kind of name an outgoing but techy IT character Quadland should have lead the next generation web development company offering designs that work.
Quad has led the development and implementation of marketing technology and enterprise management solutions for a number of companies, including AIM healthcare, Alltell, Bank of New England, Baptist Hospital, Enliven Partnership, Indigo Networks, the RD&Q agency, Saint Thomas Hospital, Wave Systems Technology, and GTE. He is highly skilled in all facets of information technology, including information architecture, database development, application development, e-commerce systems, marketing analytics and the integration of eBusiness systems with customer resource management.
Quad had the good fortune at an early age to realize his love for computer science. It all started at 10 years old when he discovered how to adjust the Apple IIe source code to give him 100 chances to win the game versus 3. He quickly embraced his inner nerd and after seven years of learning about computer science, Quad built asset depreciation analysis software for Bank of New England while attending high school at Deerfield Academy. He graduated from Vanderbilt University with a degree in Economics and Computer Science. In 1998, Quad had the wonderful fortune and esteemed privilege to work with Michael Delevante and learn how effective and engaging information science could be when a visual artist and a computer scientist work together.
Be careful when you ask Quad why he loves what he does, you may get cornered for a while.
